Beasts: Horse @Park Lane
This is one of the 'Animals in War' sculptures on Park Lane. The blue string around the dog is holding up a tarpaulin covering graffiti on the memorial, which was defaced after the Woolwich attack in early June.

Window tax - Holborn
Window tax was a property tax based on the number of windows in a house, introduced in 1696 and repealed in 1851. To avoid the tax, many houses from the period can be seen to have bricked-up window spaces.
